I Need New Zealand is a company that acts as a service agent in the tourism industry and provides information on destinations, tours, cruises, reservations, bookings, hotels, transportation, travel services and other services. Our site information has been secured from a variety of travel operators, service providers, and other sources. We cannot verify the accuracy of our travel operator’s information and we cannot warrant their accuracy or completeness. I Need New Zealand is not responsible for the acts or omissions of such operators or their subcontractors or their failure to provide services, adhere to their own schedules, or honour their contracts. All information, prices, availability are subject to change without notice.

All prices referred to on this website are a US Dollar conversion of a New Zealand dollar pricing and include 15% GST (Goods & Services Tax). Prices are subject to currency and exchange rate variation. These prices have been converted for your convenience to give an indication of your booking cost. All our holidays are charged in New Zealand Dollars.

A non-refundable deposit of approx. NZ$250 per person is required to confirm your booking. Exact deposit amount required is shown in your quote and may vary if you are booking a 3rd party tour. Full and final payment of all tours and holidays must be received by I Need New Zealand no later than 45 days prior to departure date, or by specified date if booking a 3rd party tour. If full payment is not received by this date, we reserve the right to cancel the booking. Bookings made within 45 days, or within specified cut-off date if booking a 3rd party tour, of travel date must be paid in full upon confirmation of reservation. You have the choice to pay your balance either by card (Mastercard & Visa) through our Secure Form, or by Electronic Bank Transfer (details on your booking advice). I Need New Zealand do not charge card fees on your deposit or balance. Your payment is not deemed made until it is received by I Need New Zealand and you receive your confirmation Booking Advice. In the case of billing errors, I Need New Zealand reserves the right to re invoice with correct pricing (you have the option to request a full refund if this occurs).

At the time of booking, payment by credit card shall be made in full for each booking in New Zealand dollars. You will then receive a booking confirmation and reference number for each booking. You will need to use that reference should you wish to refer to your booking(s) later. You will also receive a booking voucher for each booking which will be emailed to your nominated email address. In the event your tour is not available you will be refunded in full. If a client cancels a tour due to ‘change of mind’ and are outside of the suppliers cancellation fees a charge a NZ$25 admin fee will apply and the remaining difference will be refunded. If a client cancels within the suppliers cancellation fees there will be no refund given. Where a Cruise Ship fails to make port due to weather or mechanical difficulties, a 100% refund will be provided. If the cruise ship is delayed or arrives on an alternative date, every effort will be made to reschedule the tours, if we are unable to do this then a full refund will be given.

Please ensure you carefully read your booking advice, vouchers and all other documents we send to you as soon as you receive them and contact I Need New Zealand immediately if any information appears to be incorrect. We will not accept any liability if you fail to notify us of any inaccuracy in any document within 14 days of us sending them to you. While we will do our best to rectify any changes made outside this time, it is your responsibility to meet any additional costs which may be involved, except in the case of an error made by the Operator or I Need New Zealand, and where there is reasonable justification for you not contacting us within the specified time. You are responsible for ensuring that all necessary travel documents including, but not limited to, passports, visas and vaccination certificates are valid and subsisting. We strongly recommend that you verify current documentation requirements and all other relevant protocols and procedures associated with your trip with your travel consultant. Please note requirements change and you must check with your Consulate for the most up to date information. Passports must have an expiry date of at least 6 months or more beyond the date you intend to depart NZ.

Amending your holiday to alternate dates, once we have confirmed your reservation, may incur a maximum charge of NZ$250 per file to cover administration and communication costs. Any third-party costs, such as hotel amendment fees or cancellation costs will be payable by you.

Cancellation fees differ depending on whether your holiday is arranged by I Need New Zealand or operated by a 3rd Party Operator (e.g. cruise line, coach operator).  Please refer to the corresponding operator below:
No refunds will be made once travel has commenced nor will any refund be available in respect of any tours, accommodation, hires, services or inclusions not utilised. Refunds may occur due to weather conditions, supplier discretion, lack of tour availability or over-payments made mistakenly to I Need New Zealand. Due to exchange rate fluctuations, at times there may be some variance in the amount refunded compared to the amount initially paid. I Need New Zealand does not accept any liability for these variances or any subsequent credit card/bank charges relating to the transfer to customer’s accounts. It is highly unlikely that we will have to make any changes to your tour after you book, but as we plan the arrangements many months in advance, we may occasionally have to make minor alterations. You will be notified at the time of booking of any known changes in itinerary, hotels or tour price and you are under no obligation to continue with your booking should these prove unsuitable.

I Need New Zealand have arranged your rental vehicle hire on your behalf and the cost of this hire includes unlimited kilometres, standard daily vehicle insurance (subject to an excess), airport and ferry pick up fees, additional driver fees, age surcharge and GST (Government Goods & Services Tax).  The cost of this hire excludes tolls, optional extras, fuel and remote location surcharge if applicable, one-way fees if applicable and after-hours fees (vehicle collection outside 0800-1800 at the Picton ferry terminal).

ADE applies to all vehicle rentals in New Zealand. An excess applies to all rentals. For standard vehicles the excess is NZ$2,990 and for 4WD vehicles, people movers the excess is NZ$3,450 and XVAR is $4000. This ‘excess’ is the amount you must pay before the insurance kicks in if you have or caused an accident.  This excess can be reduced to Nil by including Accident Excess Reduction (AER) in your quote. You can also purchase AER directly with the car rental company on your arrival. In that case the excess is reduced to $276 for standard vehicles and for 4WD’s, People Movers the excess is NZ$345 and vans is $1000. The cost is approx. $NZ29 per day depending on length of hire and vehicle type.
This can be included in your quote at your request or you can purchase it directly with the car rental company on your arrival.  Stress free cover reducing excess to nil is $36 per day for all groups except for the van XVAR.  GPS Navigation units have a non-reducible excess of up to NZ$595 payable in the event of any damage, loss or theft of unit or accessories.

All drivers must be 21 years old and over. There is no maximum age for drivers providing they hold a full, valid driver’s licence.  All intending drivers must present a valid full national driving licence which has been held for at least one year. A current International Driving Licence must accompany driving licences issued in a language other than English

While we will endeavour to provide the vehicle of your choice, we reserve the right to provide an alternative vehicle of a similar or higher specification should there be a mechanical or other problem, which cannot be resolved.  Should we be unable to provide your tour through our own fault, [excluding acts of nature, terrorism or war] then a 100% refund will be given.  Your tour itinerary will be followed as closely as possible but in some cases may be affected by adverse weather or road conditions; in such cases alternative destinations and activities of a similar nature will be offered. Changes made by operators of attractions and activities we visit are outside of our control but we will endeavour to minimise such occurrences by close liaison with the operators.  We accept no responsibility for and injury to persons or damage or loss of personal possessions belonging to those persons except that which we have legal obligation so to do.

Our website contains a lot of information and very occasionally mistakes are made when entering prices and/or information online. I Need New Zealand are not responsible for errors/omissions or updates.

Travel insurance is not included in your tour cost. It is strongly recommended that insurance be taken out to protect you against cancellation charges, loss or damage of personal effects, ill health and medical expenses and any other unforeseen insurable events.

Accommodation, transportation, entrance fees, sightseeing activities, cruises and domestic flights where specifically indicated in the itinerary.

Items of a personal nature, such as laundry, phone calls, tipping, room service, optional excursions, wine & beverages, etc, are not included in tour & holiday costs and are your own responsibility.

International & domestic air travel is not included in the cost of any of the itineraries featured on this website (unless specifically stated). Note:  Flights booked by I Need New Zealand on your behalf are non-refundable and additional costs will be payable if amendments are made to your route or touring dates after your tour has been confirmed with your Tour Consultant. Note: If you are planning on joining a coach tour of New Zealand, please don’t fix your flights until you have been notified by I Need New Zealand that your places on tour have been confirmed AND we notify you that your tour departure date has been set to a ‘definite departure’ by the Operator.

Please check with your travel agent or airline regarding current passport, visa and vaccination requirements. 
Generally, vaccination certificates are not required for European, US or UK residents travelling directly to New Zealand. Your travel agent will advise of other requirements should you be stopping en-route. All travellers will require a valid passport to enter New Zealand. Visas for short term stays in NZ (i.e. less than 3 months) are not generally required for US, British and most European passport holders.

In the unlikely event that a problem occurs during your holiday, it is important that you immediately inform us. If that is not sufficient to resolve the matter, then contact the New Zealand office on the number provided on your itinerary. If your complaint cannot be resolved satisfactorily at that time, you must write to our office within 30 days of your return to your home country supplying all the relevant details.

We will endeavour to fulfil any special requests (e.g. dietary requirements) and will pass your request to our suppliers. You must advise us of any such requirement at the time of booking. Some Escorted coach operators do not cater for religious dietary requirements so it's important to let us know at time of enquiry.

Any land or air arrangements you make independently which do not form part of the tour are entirely done so at your own risk. Should you book any excursions or additional travel arrangements while on your holiday with us, please note we act only as your booking agent and should anything go wrong with any such arrangements, your rights will lie solely against the organisations supplying such arrangements.

This website is the sole responsibility of I Need New Zealand who will exercise all possible diligence in matters within their control relating to travel arrangements, accommodation and all the other services featured in any of the tours. Scenes depicted on this website are not necessarily included in the tours or holidays.

I Need New Zealand is not in any way liable for any loss or damage from alterations, delay, or changes arising from unusual or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, such as threat of war, riot, civil strife, terrorist act, industrial dispute, natural or man-made disaster, fire, adverse weather, technical problems with transport or congestion of airports. Compensation will not be payable if we need to cancel or amend tour arrangements due to any of the above circumstances. I Need New Zealand will not be held responsible for any property loss or damage and or from any damage resulting in personal injury or death which may arise whilst on tour or when utilising any other service provided by I Need New Zealand or its agents.

Under no circumstances, including, but not limited to, negligence, shall I Need New Zealand be liable for any special or consequential damages that result from the use of, or the inability to use, the materials on this Site, even if I Need New Zealand or a I Need New Zealand authorized representative has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Applicable law may not allow the limitation or exclusion of liability or incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. In no event shall the total liability of I Need New Zealand to you for all damages, losses, and causes of action (whether in contract, tort, including but not limited to negligence, or otherwise) shall exceed the amount paid by you, if any, for accessing this Site.
